Casa Por do Sol ("House of the Sunset") was built in 2003. There are fantastic views from the house and you see some wonderful sunsets. Sleeping 8, it is very well equipped, and is perfectly suited to 2 families with children. The pool is very private, and there are extensive terraces with BBQ and outdoor dining facilities. The house has double glazing, has central heating and is in a secure area.

Casa Por Do Sol is situated in the exclusive Monte Lemos area of Praia da Luz, which is 5 km away from the town of Lagos, and 85 km (just over 1 hour drive) from Faro Airport.
There are now lots of low-cost airlines flying to Faro from all over the UK, and out of school holiday times, it can cost less to fly to the Algarve than it does for a short train journey in the UK! Some examples of these airlines are: easyjet, Jet2, ThompsonFly, Monarch etc.
The journey from Faro Airport to our villa is very easy. You can pick up a hire car at the airport, and within 2 minutes you are on the motorway (very quiet by UK standards!), and this takes you all the way to between Lagos and Praia da Luz. Within a further 3 km, you arrive at our villa!
We can arrange car hire for you, or if you prefer not to drive, you can take the train from Faro to Lagos. It is then a 10 minute taxi ride to the villa.
Praia Da Luz is a delightful resort village which overlooks a pretty, sheltered bay, which has a very safe sandy beach, and amazing rock formations. It is well supplied with restaurants and beach bars, and there are some excellent cliff walks to neighbouring villages. There is a watersports school and a scuba diving centre. There are a few shops, but if shopping is your thing, you should head for Lagos.
Lagos is a beautiful medieval walled town which sits on a hillside overlooking the harbour, an impressive new marina, and a wide bay of golden sand. It's picturesque cobbled streets have a superb selection of markets, modern shops, restaurants and pavement cafes. At night, there are street entertainers, lively bars, and discos. For culture lovers, there are many galleries, museums, and ancient monuments. The area around Lagos has many first class golf courses such as Palmares, Quinta da Boavista, and Parque da Floresta.

During the period mid October until early April, clients may wish to use the central heating during the evening and early morning. If so, there will be a charge of £7 per day (the cost price of the gas). Clients may wish to order logs (via our local agent) as we have a very efficient wood burning fire. Changeover days are normally Thursdays, but we will be flexible during the Low and Winter seasons. If the stay crosses over two price bands, then the cost will be calculated on a pro-rata nightly basis. We ask for a 25% deposit on booking, and the balance 6 weeks prior to departure. We require a £100 returnable breakages deposit. We can arrange car hire and grocery orders. Last minute bookings at discounted rates may be available - please enquire.
