Le Bugue is a charming bustling market town all year round. The town sits on the river Vezere lying amid rolling hills. Holiday makers need not venture too far for lots to do and see. le Bugue boasts the largest private aquarium in Europe. The village du Bournat is a popular attraction, here you can see what village farm life was like at the turn of the century. The cliffs and cave art of world famous Les Eyzies are 6km away. The caves of Lascaux are 20km. There are plenty of adventure theme parks nearby, such as la foret des escureils and the etang du bos water theme park. Perigueux is the capital with its beautiful architecture and fine shopping 45 mins to the north. Sarlat and all its medieval history lies 20 minutes to the east and is the home to fantastic restaurants with foie gras and truffle being the speciality. As well as Beynac, La Roque Gageac and the bastide town of Domme with its spectacular views across the Dordogne and the valley, in amongst all of this are the many many beautiful chateaux. There are endless sporting activities too. There truly is something for everyone from the young to the young at heart.
Le Buge is 40 minutes from Bergerac airport. Bordeaux and Toulouse airport are 2 hrs away. Limoges airport is 1.5hrs away and Rodez airport is 2 hrs away. Car hire can be arranged from all of these airports when you book your flights online with Ryanair, flybe, BMIbaby.
From the ports depending on which port you chose to travel to we are between 8 - 11 hrs drive.

There is a wooden cabin (picture on request) which could be a 3rd bedroom which is a double bedroom with ensuite shower and toilet. Prices are from £100 - £150 per week depending on season - enquire with the owners.
A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due 10 weeks before the beginning of your holiday. A damage deposit cheque of £150 per week is required, this will be posted back to you after the end of your holiday and the property has been inspected. The price includes all bed linen and towels except pool towels.
We expect you to leave the property as you found it and whilst cleaning is included in the price a charge will be deducted from the security deposit for any excessive cleaning requirements.

We very much enjoyed our stay at your lovely cottage - you thought of everything. This has got to be one of the best equipped gites in France absolutely everything has been provided. We have had a brilliant time and fallen in love with the area - really comfortable accommodation and really enjoyed the pool. We have had a great week in le Bugue it has taken our breath away, accommodation has been above and beyond, facilities second to none, ideal for children and young. Great motorbiking roads.

You will be looked after on your holiday by Bob & Wendy freeman who live 5 minutes away by car. They will meet you and show you your accommodation and be available to help and advise you if needed. Wendy is a particularly good host and cook should you require any catering arrangements. For shopping on arrival or laundry services, just email the owners and we will endeavour to accommodate all your needs.
We all lead such busy lives these days our holidays and our time spent with our families are very precious.
