We are open all year. The bastide is steeped in history and dates back to 1256. The village has a range of restaurants and shops. Only 40 mins from Bergerac airport, in the heart of the Lot Valley.

Perched on a hill above the river Lede is Aquitaines largest Bastide town, Monflanquin.
The House of the "Black Prince" in Monflanquin is at one corner of the market place and next to the church. There is a good museum all about Bastides in the market square itself which is surrounded by 13th-15th century buildings and timber framed properties.
The town holds a fresh produce and local items market every Thursday morning, come and feel the atmosphere of a truly French open air market. The village has a very busy schedule of events throughout the year, not least the guided tours with the village jester (Fripouille).
There are many chances to savour the local gastronomy with restaurants, creperie and snack outlets. If you are thirsty for a cuppa after buying produce at the market, why not take a break in the "Salon de The" and let Jules know we sent you (they also sell a variety Teas, china and hand made greeting cards)
The village also hosts many antique markets throughout the year, the tourist information office have a myriad of informative leaflets on all of the local events. There is also an antique shop in the square.
Enjoy your stay in the heart of this historic town , dating back to 1256. Monflanquin is noted as "One of the most beautiful villages of France".
Less than one hour from Bergerac airport, with daily flights to the UK, Monflanquin is ideally placed for touring this beautiful region of the Lot et Garonne in south west France. There are excellent road and rail links to this area..Visit other bastides and market towns, explore castles and villages or simply watch the world go by from a local café.
Our comfortable accommodation is located in Monflanquin centre, only a few yards from the "Place des Arcades" with cafes, restaurants, bakeries and other shops. We are registered with the village Tourist Office.

Choose bed and breakfast or room only accommodation. Rates for one nights bed and breakfast is 50 Euros per couple / room in low season. We prefer a minimum of three night stays between May and September priced at 150 Euros per couple, including breakfast, towels, linen and utilities.
Long term bookings available on request. Christmas and New Year bookings by special request.
Prices include all linen, towels and utilities and daily room service.
Personal laundry service available on request. 8 euros per load, washed, dried and pressed.
50% deposit required at time of booking, none refundable.
Payable by Pay pal,(add 5 euros for CC transaction charges), cash in euros, sterling or euro cheques.
Any damages will be charged for, at full replacement cost. Replacements for lost keys charged at 10 Euros.
We cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to your personal property. Your accommodation is part of our home and we ask that you respect our property at all times.
Please ensure you have adequate travel / health insurance for any holiday abroad, including public liability. We are registered with the tourist office and carry appropriate insurance to accommodate B&B guests within our property.
Arrival after 3pm and before 8pm Departure by 10am unless by prior arrangement.
We request that all guests confirm their booking, by telephone, 24 hours prior to arrival. By not confirming your booking, we assume your none arrival and we reserve the right to re-let your room.

We would like to welcome you to the beautiful and historic bastide town of Monflanquin. We offer you comfortable accommodation for up to two people, in a large double room, with en-suite bathroom.
You can choose to stay 'room only', or 'bed and breakfast'. Your breakfast can be served to your room, or you may choose to use our dining area on the ground floor. Continental breakfast is served between 0800 and 0900. Please advise us in advance if you have any specific dietary needs.
During high season, between May and September, we prefer guests to stay a minimum of three nights, due to difficulties in letting half week bookings.
We pride ourselves on our high standards, your room will be serviced daily and the prices include all linen, towels and utilities.
Please, no smoking in the bedroom, all rooms are fitted with smoke detectors for your safety. You may smoke in the dining area, on the ground floor. |
